Visit from the Grandparents.

Both sets of grandparents came out to visit us this summer for Isaac's baptism.  My Parents came out first and then Matt's dad and Kim came.  We had so much fun and were sad when they had to go.
We took a boat ride in old town Alexandria.  Miles, was very nervous about the boat sinking or one of us drowning.

Matt got a BBQ and actually used it!!

We took Tom and Kim to a Nationals game .  Jane was not impressed, but the rest of us had fun and we even got to watch the fireworks after.

For three years now my family has had a fun run for my dad (who's name is not Juan but, it's too hard to explain).  It was fun to have one in Virginia.  Tom used his mad skills and made a poster for me.

We celebrated the fourth with my brother and his family and both sets of grandparents.  It was such a fun day.

Watching the fireworks

Water fight with Grandpa Tom

Matt's sister took pictures in the temple and some of them are on display so we took Tom and Kim to see.  Kim, took this picture of our family and I love it!!

Happy Eighth Birthday Isaac!!

Isaac's birthday landed on the last day of school.  We decided to make it special by throwing an end of school year party/birthday party.

He got up early and opened his presents.

After school we invited his whole class and cousins over for a water fight.

I made 40 sponge  bombs and planned an epic water fight and then it poured ALL DAY!!

We did it anyway and everyone got really wet.

Then, everyone got really cold so we watched Ninjago, opened presents and prayed for parents to come early.

I think the party turned out a success.  At  least Isaac thought so which is what counts.  He is such a wonderful boy.  He is creative, thoughtful, tenderhearted, smart and I just love him.  His siblings adore him despite his constant teasing and can be really sweet with them when he chooses to be.  We are so proud and happy to have him.

2013 End of School Year Wrap Up

Both boys did spectacularly in baseball and had a great time.

Matt and his friend ran a 50K.  Yes folks thats 30 miles.

We went downtown one day to meet Matt's aunt and uncle.  We ran into an anti genocide protest.

A bit morbid, but the kids enjoyed it.

After we laid the bones on the ground we played on the grass.

We live in a cool place.

We went up to Pennsylvania and hung out with Matt's cousins.

I found Jane outside like this one day.  Gross.

Then I forgot her swimsuit at the pool.  What a body Jane.

I got to go hang out with Isaac at his school.

He wrote a poem I got to listen to it.  He is awesome.

Saying goodbye to his teacher.

Girls trip to St. George

Towards the end of May the girls and I packed up and headed to my sisters house in St. George.
My Mom, Me, and Amy.  We ran away for a few days while Amy's husband, Riley (my niece) and my Dad watched the kids.

Ella spent a lot of time in the pool.
Jane and Grandpa spent some quality time together.

While we were gone Matt took the boys to run their first 5K.  Both boys did awesome.

Mother's Day Tea and a field trip.

I love Mother's Day.  I have the best mom, the best mother-in-law, and am surrounded by women who are phenomenal mothers.  I am so lucky to have the four best kids in the world and the best husband who make this day special for me.

I got to visit Ella's class for a Mother's Day tea.  She was so excited to have me there and the teachers made it really nice.

"I love my mommy because she let's me help with the washing machine and let's me pick out mac n cheese"

Miles' class hosted a Mother's Day tea the next day.  Miles was also excited and told me that his songs were way better than Ella's.  I thought they were all pretty cute.  (I find it interesting that there was no tea actually served.  There were excellent treats though)

This picture doesn't have anything to do with anything, I just think it's cute.  We found the Washington Nationals hat at Target and decided we needed to buy it for the girls.  They were all pretty excited about it.

I was lucky enough to go on one of Isaac's field trips.  I wonder  how long he will want me to come to these things.

We learned about birds of prey.  This hawk was awesome and kept swooping right over our heads.
